Parent Leadership Grants 2016-2017

Here are the “Webstories” from our 2016-2017 Parent Leadership Grant, small grants awards to local home and schools to engage in parent leadership and engagement projects with the parents and guardians in their school.

Donagh	What’s Growing On?	Organize a night for parents and students to increase their knowledge of healthy food choices and how food is grown.
Greenfield	Greenfield Gator Creators	Organize an art night for parents and students where they can work together to create a painting with the guidance of a local artist.
L. M. Montgomery	Parent-Child Art Night	Organize five art nights at the school for parents and students to work on painting together.
Miscouche	Healthy Food for Children and Parents	Organize two sessions for parents and students to teach tips for shopping for healthy, affordable food and how to prepare healthy, simple meals together.
Mount Stewart	Math Night	Organize a math night for parents, staff and students with department coaches to help parents understand the math program and help their children with math at home.
Souris	Numeracy Night	Organize a math night at the school for parents and students to learn to strategies for understanding and practicing the current math curriculum.
West Royalty	Cyber Safety and How to Cope with Bullying	Organize an information night for parents and students to give them tools and strategies to safely navigate on the internet and cope with bullying on social media.
