1.68 Annual Meeting, May 10th
The Federation’s 68th Annual Meeting will be held May 10th, 2021, virtually on Zoom. Registration and meeting materials will be circulated electronically in April.
2. School Crossing Guard Award
This award recognizes school crossing guards on Prince Edward Island for their service in keeping our students safe as they travel to and from school each day. Parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, staff, and members of the community at large may, through their local Home and School associations, nominate a school crossing guard from their school community for this award. Deadline for Nominations: April 23, 2021

3. Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program Consultations.
Share your ideas! Currently, 76% of Island four-year olds are enrolled in pre-kindergarten. A new universal pre-kindergarten program will help ensure that cost is not a barrier to a child’s development and success. 4. New Program to Connect Children Waiting for Autism Assessments with Interventions
A new Health PEI program will provide early intervention for children who are awaiting an autism assessment from a psychologist. The Social ABCs is for children between the ages of 12 and 36 months. The Social ABCs program, for children between ages 12 and 36 months, has been successful in other parts of Canada. Parents have seen a significant increase in positive affect-sharing and social communication in toddlers. Click for Autism Assessments details.
