Souris Regional school bus driver receives recognition

The Prince Edward Island Home and School Federation recognized Douglas Morrow from Souris Regional School with a 2017 School Bus Driver Award.

Mr. Morrow was nominated by students, parents and school staff.  He carries out his duties with kindness, consideration and respect for all students in his care and represents all school bus drivers across Prince Edward Island.

“It is safe to say that being a bus driver is not always an easy job. However, Doug does it with a great sense of pride, responsibility and patience. I know that when Mr. Morrow decides to retire he will be greatly missed by the entire Souris Regional School community.” says Krystal Jamieson, parent.

“Public education is a partnership, and ensuring that our students get to and from school each day rests on the shoulders of our bus drivers, partners without whom our education system could not operate. Their dedication is something that parents, guardians, teachers, administrators and staff of Island schools truly appreciate.” says Lisa MacDougall, President of the P.E.I. Home and School Federation.
