PEI Home and School Federation responds to new computers in schools

The P.E.I. Home and School Federation responds to Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Alan McIsaac's September 16, 2013 announcement "New computers will benefit Island students" with the following statement:

"The P.E.I. Home and School Federation is always happy to see investments in educational technology, especially when geared towards the classroom and students.  We feel this is a great first step that will help maximize the new high-speed Internet connections being installed in schools.  As members of the Education Minister's Advisory Committee on CIT (Computer Information Technology), we look forward to continued discussions.  In future meetings, we hope to explore the use of newer technologies and applications that focus on creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, and how technology works to better prepare our students to live and work in the 21st century."
