There are 56 English-language public schools in Prince Edward Island, 55 of which have local home and school associations or parent councils that are members of the PEI Home and School Federation.

Schools are organized into 10 “families of schools” consisting of a high school and the primary, elementary, intermediate and consolidated schools that feed students to it.
