StudentsAchieve comes to Intermediate Schools

The StudentsAchieve system is used by teachers, students and parents on Prince Edward Island for a variety of information and communications tasks; the system has three main components:

  1. Attendance reporting.
  2. Mark Management/Grade Book.
  3. Student/Parent Access.

StudentsAchieve is used for attendance reporting in all Island schools – elementary, intermediate and high schools.

Mark management and student/parent access features are being phased in over a multi-year period: all three components are in use in high schools and for the 2013-2014 school year this will be expanded to include intermediate schools.

Many intermediate school teachers have been using the mark management and student/parents access features, at their own discretion, for several years; what's changing for this school year is that this use is now mandated for all teachers; as such intermediate school parents can have an expectation that StudentsAchieve will contain information about all of their child's courses.

Parents of intermediate and high school students will receive a username and password from their child's school's in the coming weeks; once you have this you can visit the StudentsAchieve for Parents page to login. Contact your school office for more details.

StudentsAchieve was first used in PEI schools following the recommendations of a 2003 steering committee that assessed a variety of mark management products and recommended StudentsAchieve. After an evaluation of the results of field tests, a provincial license was purchased and teachers province-wide began using the system in 2006.

StudentsAchieve is a product of the Canadian company StudentsAchieve Software which has offices in Edmonton, Alberta and Markham, Ontario.
